In Memorium
Vic Drajem passed away in July of 2014. He was a coin collector since 1950 and started GDK Coins in 1964 to serve the coin collecting needs of Buffalo and Western New York. He was a life member of the ANA (#1340), past president of Empire State Numismatic Association, life member of the Garden State Numismatic Association, member of Niagara Falls Coin Club, past President of The Buffalo Numismatic Association, and past President and Vice President of Erie County Coin Club. He has traveled across the country to participate in national coin shows and numismatic events in order to fulfill his customers’ coin collecting needs.
As a coin dealer, Mr. Drajem’s involvement in the numismatic community over the past 40 plus years has provided leadership and vision into the future. His extensive experience and knowledge in coin collecting and numismatic investments has benefited many collectors and investors in the Western New York and northeastern United States area. Phil has been a coin collector since he is been 15 years old and he has been a coin dealer since 2004. He is a lifelong resident of Western New York and a graduate of John F. Kennedy High School in Cheektowaga. He proudly served our country as a Military Combat Infantryman in Vietnam.
